You were chosen by God through the sanctifying (transforming) work of the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:2

Through faith you are shielded by God’s power. 1 Peter 1:5

The prophets tried to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ pointed when He predicted the sufferings of Christ. 1 Peter 1:11

By the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, you have been told and heard the gospel. 1 Peter 1:12

* Therefore, prepare your minds for action. 

* Be self-controlled.

* Do not conform (bend) to the evil desires you had when you were ignorant. 1 Peter 1:14

Every relationship that is not based on faithfulness to Christ will end in disaster.

If we love someone but do not love God, we demand total perfection. When we do not get it, we become cruel, demanding, and vindictive.
