1 Samuel 12

The Lord your God was your King. 1 Samuel 12:12

If both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God — good! But if you do not obey the Lord, if you rebel against his commands, his hand will be against you. 1 Samuel 12:15

Far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. 1 Samuel 12:23

But if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will be swept away. 1 Samuel 12:25

Lord, you are my God and King. May your hand be with me. Help me to obey your commands. Remind me to pray for those who struggle with sin and temptations. Do not cast me from your sight. Rather, welcome me with open arms and remove all sin from my life.

You have had the vision, but you are not yet to the reality of it by any means. It is when we are in the valley, where we prove whether we will be the choice ones, that most of us turn back. Oswald Chambers

We have seen what we are not, and what God wants us to be, but are we willing to be battered into the shape of the vision to be used by God? Oswald Chambers

If we prefer to relax on the mountaintop and live in the memory of the vision, then we will be of no real use. Oswald Chambers

We have to learn to live in reliance upon what we saw in the vision. Oswald Chambers

God not only knows where we live, but also knows the gutters into which we crawl! Oswald Chambers
