Should ya find yerself amongst congregants whar a spirit of judgment, shame, and blame be at work, consider praying this prayer out loud.

(Yes, we are all guilty of allowing heretics and unclean spirits to attack the Body of Christ.)

“The Lord is coming to judge everyone, and to convict all of them of all the ungodly acts they have committed in their ungodliness, and of all the defiant words ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. (Jude 14-16)

O Lord, you be coming ter judge everyone. Yer judgement be right. Yer judgement be yers to execute, not ours. You ‘ave said:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you. First take the plank out of your own eye. Only then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:1-6)

Thar be only one Lawgiver and Judge. He alone be able ter save and ter destroy.  Far be it from us ter judge our neighbor. (James 4:2) Oh Lord, help us ter hold our tongue and not speak against one another, fer he who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks against yer law and judges yer law. And if we judge the law, we are not doers of the law but sit in judgement of the law and you. Therefore, let us keep our flap shut. (James 4:11)

Lord, in yer time you ‘ill bring ter light the hidden things done in darkness and disclose the motives of ever’ feller’s hearts. (1 Corinthians 4:5 ) Judgment without mercy ‘ill be doled out ter those who ‘ave shown no mercy. We declare and agree with yer Spirit, Lord: mercy triumphs over judgment. (James 2:13 )

You will convict all the ungodly of all thar ungodly acts done in ungodly ways. You ‘ill judge all fer ever’ harsh word spoken by ungodly sinners spouted against you.

Lord, we pray that you remove from our midst any ungodly feller or lass who be a grumbler and faultfinder and judge of others, fer such rascals follow thar own evil desires. They boast with pride ’bout themselves. May it not be so with us. Bless us with a spirit of humility, compassion, kindness… bless us with eyes ter see our neighbor’s plight and ‘ave mercy on ’em.

Convict us, Lord, if we flatter others in order ter gain an advantage. May our words always be true and just, our motives pure and aligned with yer will.

In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
