Should ya find yerself amongst congregants determined ter go the way of the world rather than follow the Way, the Truth, and the Light of Life, consider this prayer of repentance fer you and yer crew.

(Yes, we are all guilty of the rampant apostasy that infects the Body of Christ.)

Be merciful to those who doubt.

Lord, you ask us ter “‘ave faith and do not doubt.” (Matthew 21:21) You call us people “of little faith who doubt.” (Matthew 14:31) We believe. Help our unbelief. (Mark 9:24) You promise to strengthen us, to help us—to uphold us with your righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10)

Lord help us ter show mercy when others doubt yer faithfulness, yer holiness, yer words. Once we also did not believe. Once we also doubted. Thar might yet come a day when we doubt and cast about with anxious thoughts. But you show mercy ter us. Help us ter show mercy ter others.

Save others by snatching them from the fire.

Lord, in times past you snatched a good many from the consuming fire. You overthrew some as you overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. Like Lot and his family, in times past  you snatched others like a feller snatches a burning stick from the fire. (Amos 4:11) If our acts be burned up, we ‘ill suffer loss. Yet we ‘ill still be saved as if escaping through the flames. (1 Corinthians 3:15) In yer eyes, ter often, we be but a burning stick snatched from the pit of flames. Fer this reason, let us strive ter make certain our words and work glorify you in all ways. (Zechariah 3:2)

Let us preach, teach, proclaim and praise yer words. Let us encourage and rebuke, council and console others as if snatching ’em from the pit of flames. 

To others show mercy, mixed with fear.

Lord, may we be careful, keep calm, and act with courage. May we fear you, but fear no man. Pray that we do not lose heart because of the fierce anger of ’em who oppose us, yer words, yer will, and yer Spirit of holiness. Let us show mercy but remind all that it be a right dreadful thing ter fall inter the hands of the living God. (Hebrews 10:31)

Hate even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.

Folks like ter scoff at the saying, “Love the sinner, but hate the sin.” And yet you hath said we ought ter do jest that, fer the wicked have so polluted thar garments by thar sinful acts that thar clothes ought ter be burned.

These ungodly people pollute their own bodies. (Jude 1:8)

“You have a few people WHO HAVE NOT soiled their clothes. They will walk with me. They are dressed in white. They are worthy.” – Jesus (Revelation 3:4)

In the same way that the prophets of Jerusalem committing adultery by lying with that harlot, the world, and living a lie, the ungodly recline in the arms of Satan. Therefore, in the mighty name of Jesus we pray against all spirits that pervert yer words. (Jeremiah 23:14)

Both prophet and priest are polluted. (Jeremiah 23:11)

While such preachers and priests, teachers and leaders strengthen the hands of evildoers so none turns from their wickedness, we fall ter our knees and ask that you purify yer house and yer people from all ungodliness. (Jeremiah 23:14)

Lord, grant us mercy as we offer mercy ter others. Fergive us fer perverting yer words and soiling ourselves with unclean acts and affirming sin rather than affirming yer Truth and Love. Save us, Lord. Save yer people fer yer name’s sake.
