Blessed Are You When You Refuse to Walk in the Counsel of the Wicked

When Jesus Whispers

Blessed Are You When You Refuse to Walk in the Counsel of the Wicked

“Blessed are you when you refuse to walk in the counsel of the wicked. Rather, rebuke the wicked so you will not share in their guilt. If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. Do not hate them in your heart because of their sin. If they listen to you, you have won them over. If they repent, forgive them. But if they refuse to listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If they still will not listen, tell it to the assembly. Should they still refuse to hear my words, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. If I had not come and spoken my Father’s words to you, none would not be guilty of sin. But now those who hear my words have no excuse for their sin.” — Jesus
