Set your hearts on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. You must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Lord, bless me to set my heart on the things above the mast, not on what I can see around me. Bless me to set my mind on things above the spreaders, not on the waves of troubles that bash the bow of this vessel. 

Please fill me afresh with your Spirit so that your Spirt will put to death whatever belongs to my earthly nature. This includes sexual immorality, moral filth, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which be idolatry. Because of these your wrath comes upon us.

Lord, I once walked in the ways of the flesh, but now I walk in you and with you. For this reason I beg you to remove from me all anger, rage, malice, slander, filthy talk, and lying.

I am a new person in you. I am being renewed in the knowledge and image of the Creator, our Father. Give me your eyes to see my circumstances from a heavenly perspective.
