Do You Have a Pharisee Attitude?

Let Us Love the Lost With the Heart of Jesus

One time some fellers asked the Son if they should mirror the actions of religious folks. In reply the Son said, “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders. But they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. You must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

“They shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. They themselves will not enter. They are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. They appear righteous but on the inside are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” (Matthew 23)

Here below be an example of the Pharisee attitude.

In response the Son says, “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. I am God, and there is no other. (Isaiah 45:22)

“God our Savior wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4)

“Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.” (Luke 13:24) No doubt he whar talking ’bout the Pharisees and others who come up with thar own way of saving themselves: some by doing good works, others by worshiping other gods.

“Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door,” the Son says, “you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’  But I will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’” (Luke 13:23-25)

The way ter the abundant life with the Son be this:

  • Believe the Son be Skipper’s boy, the savior of all
