Ears to See

When Jesus Whispers

Jesus hears truth and it shows Him pictures or insight.

  1. The Centurion’s Words (Matthew 8:5–13)

“Only say the word, and my servant will be healed.”
Jesus heard faith—and it painted a picture of authority so vivid He declared, “I have not found such great faith in Israel.”
➜ His ears saw the kingdom at work in a Gentile soldier.

  2. Peter’s Confession (Matthew 16:16–19)

    “You are the Christ.”
When Jesus heard Peter’s words, He saw the revelation of the Father unfolding — “flesh and blood did not reveal this to you.”
    ➜ Sound produced sight.

  3. The Cry of Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46–52)

“Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Others heard noise. Jesus heard sight.
He saw a man’s faith through his cry and restored his physical vision.

  4. The Ten Lepers’ Plea (Luke 17:12–14)

“Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
He heard their cry and saw them cleansed before it happened — “Go, show yourselves to the priests.”

  5. The Woman Who Touched His Garment (Mark 5:25–34)

She didn’t speak. Yet Jesus heard power leave Him and saw her faith before she confessed.
➜ His ears saw what no one else could see.
