I Will Put My Spirit On Him …

The family of Recabites replied, “We do not drink wine, because our forefather Jehonadab, a son of Rekab, gave us this command: ‘Neither you nor your descendants must ever drink wine. Also you must never build houses, sow seed or plant vineyards; you must never have any of these things, but must always live in tents. Then you will live a long time in the land where you are nomads.’ ” ~ Jeremiah 35:6-7

Lord, help me to obey all your commands, not just the ones I understand.

“This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘You have obeyed the command of your forefather Jehonadab and have followed all his instructions and have done everything he ordered.’ Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Jehonadab son of Rekab will never fail to have a descendant to serve me.’ ” ~ Jeremiah 35:18-19

Father, help me to serve you today.

I will put my Spirit on Him … He will not be discouraged. ~ Isaiah 42:1 & 4

Lord, please place your Spirit IN me, today.

New things I now declare; before they spring forth, I tell you of them. ~ Isaiah 42:8 & 9

Revive my soul; refresh your Spirit within me. Give me your Spirit of courage. Those things that are yet to be, declare the to me as you desire.
