Lord, you command us to ask for rain during times of drought, for it is You who makes the storm clouds and gives rain to the plants of our fields. You are the Lord Almighty who cares for his flock. Because you are with those who are yours, you will fight and overthrow our enemy: the one who steals our health, strength, purpose, and daily provision.

Our enemy is the Tempter (Matthew 4:3), Our enemy is the Father of Lies (John 8:44). Our enemy is Ruler of This World (John 14:30).

You strengthen us. You save us. You restore us. You have compassion on us. Though once rejected by you, You are now our God and Lord. You answer us when we cry out. When in you, our hearts rejoice. You whisper to us, ‘Come to me and I will give you rest.’ You gather us into your arms. You redeem us. Lord, redeem me today. Buy me back this day. Restore to me the joy and hope of my youth.
