Whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it will be blessed in what they do.- James 1:25 (James 1:19-25)
Skipper’s questions and commands always reveal tha true make of a feller, of that ya kin be sure.
Be quick ter listen.
Be slow ter speak.
Be washed clean of all moral filth.
Be scrubbed of all evil that be so prevalent.
Be anxious ter humbly accept tha word Skip planted in ya. Ne’er ferget that Skipper’s words kin save ya.
Do not simply listen ter tha reading and teaching of Skipper’s words, but DO WHAT IT SAYS. Else, ya ‘ill deceive yer self.
Tha feller who looks at Skip’s words as with a spyglass, dialing in tha focus so he kin see clearly tha make of things, that feller ‘ill see in ter Skipper’s perfect law that gives freedom from sin. It be like reading tha waters and knowing shoal from coral heads, sea grass from mud. That be tha sort of intensity a feller should use when reading Skipper’s words.
Read, teach, preach, and learn ter live Skipper’s perfect law. If ya do this and don’ ferget what ya ‘ave read and heard, ya will be blessed in what ya do. Ne’re ferget: “The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” (Psalm 19:7)
Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. – Jude 21 (Jude 20-25)
Dear mates, build yerself up in yer most holy faith and pray in tha Holy Spirit of Truth at all times. Keep yerself in Skipper’s love. If ya committed a grievous offense, turn towards tha Sun, confess what ya done, ask fer his fergivness and wait fer tha mercy of tha Sun ter wrap itself around ya like a heavy wool coat.
In tha same way tha Sun warms ya with his mercy, warm others with mercy—especially them with doubt. If they doubt tha Sun ever was: show mercy. If they doubt Skipper be real: show mercy. If they doubt Skipper’s Code of Conduct be his commands fer how ter carry yerself as one in his crew: show mercy.
By showing mercy towards them who doubt, ya may snatch a feller or two from that eternal fire than never ends. Thank on it this way: mercy be a long, sturdy rope ya kin toss ter a body that be floundering in tha sea. Tha more mercy ropes ya kin toss, tha better odds a feller might have ter grab a holt and be saved.
But when ya tossing them ropes of mercy ter them floundering about, do so with fear so as not ter slip and fall overboard yerself. Many a crew member has jumped in ter tha sea ter save a mate only ter get swept away by currents of sin.
Skipper be able ter keep ya from falling, only it be on ya ter be alert and watch yer stance and steps.
To tha only Skipper thar be and ter tha Sun, tha only Savior thar ever ‘ill be, a hearty salute. As crew and mates we give all respect, honor, and praise, ‘cause Skip and his Sun be full of all glory majesty, authority, and power.
“In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” – Jude 18 (Jude 11-19)
In tha last days, them last times, thar ‘ill be scoffers. Fellers filled with lust ‘ill follow thar own ungodly, selfish desires. Simon Peter warned ‘bout such mockers when he wrote: “In the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.” So it not just be tha earthly brother of tha Sun, Jude, who says such things, but them who walked and talked and learned from tha Sun while he be on earth.
Such false teachers pervert tha grace of Skipper.
Fellers like these be selfish and follow tha way of Cain and look out fer thar own self, giving no thought ter how thar egregiousbehavior corrupts others.
They be lovers of money and follow tha way and teachings of Balaam, tempting others ter commit sexual sin. Tha Sun said as much when he wrote to some leaders of a church and warned: “I hold this against you. You hold to the teachings of Balaam and entice others to commit sexual immorality and eat food sacrificed to idols.” (Revelation of Christ 2:14)
Moses himself warned ‘bout such reprobates: “These women were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the Lord. ” (Numbers 31:16)
Them be harsh words, but Skipper takes a tough stand on sexual sin.
Fellers like these be blemishes when tha crew gathers fer instruction, fellership, and fer singings songs and praising Skipper. They feed themselves first and last. Like a rabid dog, they foam at the mouth. Thar words be muddy muck and tha blackest darkness be reserved fer such rascals.
Fellers like these be ungodly good-fer-nothing scoundrels, who commit ungodly acts in ungodly ways and use harsh words against them who stand with Skipper and his words of instruction. Fellers like these be ungodly sinners who speak vile words against Skipper.
Fellers like these be grumblers, finding fault with ever thing and ever one who sticks ter Skippers Code of Conduct. Instead of following tha Sun, as they claim they be doing, they set a course fer their own evil desires. They boast ‘bout themselves.
Fellers like these flatter others fer thar own advantage, but they do not stick ter Skipper’s Code of Conduct and they don’ ‘ave Skipper’s Holy Spirit of Truth in ’em, ya may lay ter that.
Give a wide berth ter such rogues in tha same way ya might when rounding a headland, else ya may wreck yer faith on thar reefs of treachery.
Dear friends, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all time handed down to the saints.- Jude 3 (Jude 3:3-6)
Dear mates, I urge ya ter contend fer tha faith, fer godless men ‘ave secretly snuck aboard and be amongst ya. I don’ know thar names, but I hear things. Terrible things. Stuff like they be wanting ter change tha grace of Skipper’s manner of looking past an offense inter a license fer behavior and conduct that be crude and offensive and contrary ter tha moral standards of upright folk.
Such behavior not be appropriate fer men in Skip’s crew, of that ya kin be sure. They shut thar eyes ter tha Sun, blotting out his light, so they can carry on in thar vile ways.
Ne’er ferget that in tha old days Skipper delivered his crew out of slavery in Egypt as an example of how he whar ter rescue all mankind from tha fetters of sin. ‘Course later Skipper had ter do away with tha whole lot on account of they refused ter believe his word.
Contend fer tha faith with perseverance. Dogged resolve be endurance combined with tha absolute assurance and certainty that what we be looking fer be going ter happen. If Skip says he ‘ill do a thing, ya kin set a heading that it’ll come ter pass.
Ever hope and dream ‘ill be fulfilled if it be noble and of Skipper. Contend earnestly fer yer faith andSkip ‘ill bring it ter fulfillment, ya may lay ter that.
“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you.” 3 John 2
Dear mates, I pray that ya may enjoy good health and all may go well with ya. It gives me great joy ter hear ’bout yer faithfulness ter tha truth and how ya continue ter walk in it. I ‘ave no greater joy than ter hear that my mates and crew be walking in Skipper and his Sun’s true and righteous ways.
Please send others along thar way in a manner that honors Skip. It be fer tha sake of tha Sun that ya and them others went out. Ne’er ferget, we ought ter always be accommodating to folks who work fer tah truth.
I do call yer attention ter them who be gossiping maliciously and command they cut it out. Imitate what be good, not evil. Now then, ’till I arrive back in port and kin speak with ya plainly ter yer face, stick ter tha Sun’s instructions and way. Keep ter Skipper’s Code of Conduct.
Fair winds and following seas, mate. May peace and mercy be yer mark as Skipper’s crew.
Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. – 1 John 3:2 (1 John 3)
How great is tha love Skipper has heaped on us? Why, Skip loves us so much he calls us his children. Ever one who has tha hope of being in Skipper’s family, ‘ill end up being jest like Skip. That feller or lass purifies themselves, just as Skip be pure. They don’ keep on wallowing in mud and sin, of that ya kin be sure.
Tha reason tha world don’ know Skip—and tha reason them in tha world hates us—be that they don’ know Skipper. A good many thinks they do. Some even be hired on as priests and pastors, teachers and leaders. But they don’ know Skip, not really. They spout stuff about tha Sun and Skipper and spin a good yarn like they believe Skipper’s words, but then they go and say stuff like Skip ne’re meant what he said.
Feller who says that be calling Skip a liar.
Ever one who sins breaks Skipper’s Code of Conduct. In fact, lawlessness, which be less law, be sin itself.
Skip showed himself ter us through his Sun. He done this so as ter take away our sins. In tha Sun, thar be no sin. Not a lick.
No one who really lives in Skipper keeps on sinning. Not and feel good about it. That guilt of sinning ‘ill be ter much. Don’ even ‘ave ter get caught by Skipper ter feel bad. Ya just know in yer heart ya let down yer Father, Skip, and that be enough ter cause ya ter cry.
No one who continues ter sin has either seen, heard, or knows Skipper or his Sun. Tha Sun says as much: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day [when judgement comes], ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
Harsh words from tha Sun, but ne’re ferget this. When tha Sun speaks, Skipper speaks, and when Skipper speaks, tha Sun speaks. They be one in tha same.
This be a great mystery that only them with Skipper’s Spirit be able ter understand.
Think on this: when tha Sun appears, we ‘ill be like him. We ‘ill see him jest as he is. Don’ be cogitating ‘bout what ya will look like. That not be tha most important thing. Tha main idear be that ya ‘ill get ter see tha Sun—which really be Skip—in all his glory.
Such a thing ‘ll take yer breath away, of this ya kin be sure.
