Lord, may I continue to know you better. Reveal more of yourself through Christ.

“They have obeyed your word.” John 17:6

Help me, Father, to obey your word above all else.

“Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name.” John 17:11

This is my prayer for my boys and girls. Protect them in the name of Christ.

Protect me from temptation. Keep me from the evil one.

Lord, as far as it is within your will for me to know, please prepare me for what is to come.

Lord, please give me your words today. Please give me your vision. Help me to write the LPC story with your words, your Spirit, your vision, and your help.

Lord, help me to bear much fruit in my writing and my work with authors.

“May my joy remain in you. May your joy be complete.” JOHN 15:11

Lord, PLEASE place your joy in me. Make my joy complete. Give me success in the work you have given me. Help me to enjoy the favor of those you bring to me. Acts 2:4

“If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obey my teaching, they will obey your words, also.” JOHN 15:20

If human beings were not capable of depression, we would have no capacity for happiness and exaltation. Oswald Chambers

When the Spirit of God comes to us, He does not give us glorious visions. He tells us to do the ordinary things. Oswald Chambers

Everyday they continued to meet together. All the believers were together. Acts 2:46

Lord, we need to continue to meet together in order to receive and practice sound doctrine, be encouraged and be held accountable for our actions. 

“Now is the time for judgement on this world. Now the prince of this world will be driven out. When I am lifted up I will draw ALL men to myself.” John 12:32

Lord, please drive the prince of darkness from my life. Please battle for my soul. May your Spirit speak against Satan and force him to flee.

“When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When a man looks at me, he sees the one who sent me.” John 12:44

I believe, Lord. Increase my belief.

“There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words. But I do not judge him.” John 12:47-48

Lord, may your words go forth today to convict us of our sins.

Most of us show incredible disrespect to God because we don’t even hear him. He might as well never have spoken to us [ through his word ].Oswald Chambers

Lord, please change the hearts of those who will attend the Asheville Christian Writers Conference. May you subdue the spirit of pride that resides in each of us and place your Spirit of peace and humility within us. May your thoughts be our thoughts and your love exhibited in our actions. 

Why are we so terrified for God to speak to us? It is because we know that when God speaks we must either do what He asks or tell Him we will not obey. Oswald Chambers
