The Word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it. – Jeremiah 6:10
Lord, your Word is sweet and refreshing to those perishing and in need of your Living Water.
Prophets and priests dress the wounds of my people as though it were not serious. “Peace, peace,” they say, when there is no peace. 6:14
Father, give me your Peace that passes my understanding.
Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths. Ask where the good way is and walk in it. Then you will find rest for your souls. But you said, “We will NOT walk in it.” 6:16
May you heal our nation. Bind up the wounds of our souls. Take away our sin, cleanse the stain of our offensives. We face a choice: we can choose you and follow your Word, your voice, or we can go our own way. Remove the false priests and prophets from the pulpits. Assign holy servants to lead your people.
I am bringing disaster on the people … Because they have not listened to my words and rejected my law. I will put obstacles before this people. 6:21
Lord, help me to remember to stop and consider if a roadblock is from you. Give me your patience and wisdom to wait and listen for your voice to say, “This way.”
