Mark Chapter 5

What Jesus Said and DidOne of the synagogue rulers, Jairus, came to Jesus. Immediately she felt that she was freed from the suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out of him.

Who touched my clothes?”

The woman, trembling with fear, told him the truth.

Daughter, your faith has healed you,” Jesus said. “Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.” To Jairus Jesus said, “Don’t be afraid. Just believe.” But when Jesus told the crowd at the ruler’s home, “This child is not dead but asleep,” they laughed at him. Jesus said, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!

Immediately the girl stood. Jesus gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this. Mark 5:21-43

Mark Chapter 5

What Jesus Said and DidA man with an evil spirit came to meet Jesus. The man lived in the tombs and cut himself.

Jesus asked his name. “My name is Legion, for we are many,” the man replied. The man then begged Jesus to send them into the herd of pigs, about 2000 in number. Jesus agreed and the pigs rushed down a steep hill and plunged into the lake where they drowned. Later, others came to see if what they had heard was true and found the man sitting with Jesus, dressed and in his right mind.

Afraid, the people begged Jesus to leave.

Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you,” Jesus said to the man, “and how he has had mercy on you.” Mark 5:1-20 paraphrased

Who in your life does Jesus need to confront?

What demons or afflictions are tormenting someone close to you?

Name those who you suspect suffer from depression, then pray for Christ to go to them.

In what area of your life are you afraid to open to Jesus?
