Lord, may you corral my tongue. Help me to only speak words of kindness about you to others and speak kind to others.

Leave your orphans; I will protect their lives. Your widows can trust in me. ~ Jeremiah 49:11

My Father, please care for those who can’t care for themselves. I count myself in that group.

If those who do not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, why should Edom go unpunished? ~ Jeremiah 49:12

Prepare me for the time when I must drink from the cup of your wrath. Give me your strength and stamina. Give me your Spirit. May your strong hand be with me. Bless me with your protection and provision.

Lord, please help Betty’s daughter and son-in-law. Bless Carlene’s family with salvation, safety, health, and provision. Care and comfort for Ray and Bonnie. Their hearts hurt. Please take care and comfort Bruce. He faces a tough choice regarding cancer treatment options. Teresa needs $1232 for a mission trip. Give Teresa and her husband their daily bread, your presence, and guidance.

Lord, please work in the hearts of our President, our judges, and the members of Congress. Turn their hearts towards you. May they honor your Word and show mercy and grace to the widows, orphans, aliens, all who are oppressed, all who live in comfort … to all living in the land of the free.
