Should ya find yerself amongst congregants determined ter travel down the broad way that leads ter destruction, rather than the narrow path that leads ter life, consider this prayer of repentance and restoration for ya and yer crew.

And the angels who did not keep their domain but abandoned their proper dwelling—these he has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day. In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and have gone after strange flesh. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. Likewise, these dreaming ones defile the flesh, set aside authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. (Jude 6-8)

Lord, you ‘ave made the heaven and the earth. All things, whether visible or invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions or principalities or powers—all things whar created by you and fer you.

You created the angels and assigned them thar positions. Only some rebelled and war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. And the great dragon was hurled to the earth and his angels with him.

In the same way Satan and his legions abandoned thar domain through rebellion against yer authority—in the same those in and around Sodom and Gomorrah rejected yer authority—so terday godless men and women seek ter satisfy the desires of flesh, set aside yer authority, and heap blaspheme on yer glorious ones.

As in the days of old, so terday some folks torment the righteous with thar advocation fer filthy living. Therefer, we plead with you fer relief from ’em who call sin “good” and repentance from sin a form of hateful speech.

Lord, we ask that those who follow the corrupt desires of thar sinful nature, despise yer authority, and speak lies against yer glorious ones be cast out of yer assembly—not fer the sake of judgement. But so that yer Holy Spirit of Truth might ‘ave its way with ’em and convict all the ungodly of thar sins.

Such dreamers ‘ave lived among thar fantasies fer so long they ‘ave lost tough with reality. More ter the point, they ‘ave lost touch with yer words, truth, and ‘ave rejected yer authority. Perhaps once they see whar darkness leads ’em, the light of yer truth and words ‘ill draw them back inter lovin’ arms so they can confess, repent, and be saved and healed.

Fer a great while now we ‘ave tolerated sin in our midsts. We ‘ave sought ter act with kindness and compassion in the hope that by yer grace, this spirit of rebellion would flee. But instead, those leading this revolt against you ‘ave gained more allies.

Therefore, Lord, we call all in our assembly ter repent. We acknowledge that we have sinned as well. Perhaps not in the same ways, but in yer eyes all sin be rebellion. We ‘ave embraced wickedness and called it good, healthy, and normal. We ‘ave affirmed thoughts, ideas, and beliefs that whar at odds with yer character of holiness, love, and truth. Worse, we ‘ave boasted in our hearts that we are not like ’em.

Fergive us, Lord, fer our hypocrisy, spirit of pride, and self-righteousness. Fergive us as well fer caring more ’bout the opinion of man than the opinion of the Glorious One, Jesus Christ.

We declare that all authority and power on earth, for now and ever more belongs ter you. Yer words are true, not lies. Yer authority is ter be feared, not mocked. And those created in yer image are ter be holy, not wholly consumed with desires of the flesh.

May we be a humble people, a grateful people, a righteous people: not because of our deeds or words. But because of the blessed blood of our savior Jesus. Amen and amen.
