God"s Promises

HISTORY OF CHRIST’S CHURCH AT MOORE SQUARE

On Sunday, November 21, 2021, North Raleigh United Methodist Church celebrated its 50th anniversary (one year late due to COVID). At the conclusion of the event 40 box lunches remained. Charter member Eddie Jones offered to drop he remaining lunches off at a homeless camp near Capital Boulevard.

When he arrived he found the camp cleaned out. Prompted by the Holy Spirit Eddie drove into downtown Raleigh, parked next to Moore Square, and opened the trunk of his car. Two men approached asking if they could help unload the lunches. Five minutes later Eddie was on his way home.

“Was that hard?” Jesus asked. Eddie admitted it was not. “Think you could do that again next week?” Eddie supposed he could.

Thus began a weekly time of worship outside the walls of “church,” ministering to people the way Jesus did when he walked among us. We call this “participation worship” — a form of gathering where everyone is engaged, heard, seen, and valued as a person made in the image of God.

Each Monday night from 7:15 to 8:30 PM we hold a Jesus study at the picnic tables in front of Square Burger. All are welcomed.

There is no paid staff at Christ’s Church at Moore Square, only volunteers responding to the nudge of His Spirit. 100% of all donations go to purchase food, new clothing, and when possible, provide shelter for those sleeping outside.

Come To Jesus

When Jesus Whispers

Come to Jesus

“Are you content with your friendships and relationships? Are your relationships as satisfying as you would want them to be? Is there someone in your life who knows you so well that you confide in them your secrets, fears, hopes, and dreams? Come to me, Jesus.

“I am by your side, so do not let fear overwhelm you. I am your Lord, King, and the one who saves you. I give you my strength. I support you. I lift you up in my hands. Isaiah 41:10

“I love you so deeply that I gave my life for you. Anyone who believes in me will save their life. Though they may die, in me, you will have an abundant, eternal life in my Father’s kingdom. I go to prepare a place for those who trust in me. and if I go, I will come back for you. John 3:16

“I formed your inward parts. I knitted you together in your mother’s womb. This is how close I am to you. Psalm 139:13-16

“If you desire a friend who will never leave or forsake you, someone who knows your fears, hopes, dreams, secrets, and yes, even your sins, come to me. Ask to exchange your life for my eternal living Spirit. I am Jesus. Ask me to be your friend, Lord, and Savior.” — Jesus

Jesus Loves Me

When Jesus Whispers

Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me. This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to Him belong;
They are weak, but He is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
Yes, Jesus loves me!
The Bible tells me so.

“In this world, you will face troubles, but I have conquered sin, sickness, poverty, and death. Today, at this very moment, you can embark on a journey to live with the expectation of a future filled with abundance, peace, and joy. I am Jesus. Ask me to be your friend, Lord, and Savior.

“There is nothing you can do to make me love you less. There is nothing you can do to make me love you more. Figuratively speaking, I am still dying to meet you. Will you please come to me so that I might give you life, peace, and joy? Please!” — Jesus
