Jesus — the Spirit of Truth

When Jesus Whispers

I am the way, the truth, and the life. If you love me, keep my commands. Do this and I will ask the Father to give you the [my] Spirit of truth to be your advocate, counselor, comforter, teacher, and helper. — Jesus

Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist (Ephesians 6:14).

The law came through Moses. Grace with truth came through me. (John 1:17).

In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through the Word all things were made. Without the Word nothing was made that has been made. In the Word is life and that life is the light of all mankind. The light, the Word, shines in the darkness. And yet the darkness does not comprehend and has not attained the light, nor has the world snuffed out the light. The Word still shines (John 1:1-4)

The sword of the Spirit of truth is the word of God (Ephesians 6:17).

The word of God is alive and active. The word of God is sharper than any double-edged sword and divides the soul and spirit, joints and marrow. The word of God judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

Because the world neither sees him nor knows him, the world cannot accept the Word, my Spirit of truth. But you know my word, for my word lives with you and will be in you. I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. My Father loves the one who loves me. I too love them. I show myself to them through my word and Spirit of truth. — Jesus

Test the spirits to see whether they are from God. Every spirit is from God if that spirit acknowledges that Jesus Christ — the Word, the life and light of man, the Spirit of truth — came in the flesh (1 John 4:2). — John the Apostle

“Through the Word all things were made. Without the Word nothing was made that has been made.” All Scripture is God-breathed (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Scripture remains alive and active. Every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is the Word, the Spirit of truth, the life and light of man, the law, grace and truth manifest in the flesh . . . denies Christ. That spirit is the spirit of the antichrist. This is the conclusion of those in attendance at the Monday night Jesus Study in Moore Square: 10-02-23
